ARTIST REPRESENTATION : COLLECTION PROPOSALS
PUBLISHING : BOOKS, PUBLICATIONS, EDITIONS |
Throughout its seven years of activity in the Le Marais district of Paris (1998-2005), the Nathalie Parienté Gallery has shown the work of up-and-coming and established artists in the fields of photography (Joan Fontcuberta - Barbara et Michael Leisgen), painting (Ida Applebroog - Juan Ugalde) and video(Muriel Toulemonde), as well as some themed exhibitions (Arte Povera torinese… Read the Press Release).
At the close of those seven years, a new, so-called 'OUTSIDE THE WALLS' exhibition policy has become a necessity.
The aim is to display artists' work in a novel and relevant way, in 'other' venues, to create a correspondence between the identity of the sponsor and of the receiving space and the very purpose of their work. Set in a different context, a special light is shed on their works. Nathalie Parienté's approach offers artists a venue in resonance with their work.
Among the HORS LES MURS projects:
Barbara & Michael Leisgen. Light time displayed at the Axel Vervoordt Kanaal Gallery in Antwerp.
Joan Fontcuberta. Sciences-Friction, at the Hôtel-Dieu Museum in Mantes-la-Jolie.
2009, launch of the 38 WILSON Project.
The 38 Wilson Project presents to collectors, critics, curators and museum directors, propositions by artists or curators.
The projects are created specifically for the space-situated 38 avenue du Président Wilson in Paris-or they reflect its nature and identity: a private space for exhibitions and a platform of exchange dedicated to partnerships for creation, both public and private.
October-December 09, Ida Applebroog. L'intime politique (Read the Press Release). In collaboration with Marc Donnadieu, Director of the FRAC Haute-Normandie, where he will curate an exhibition of the artist's work in 2010/2011.
38 Wilson projects can be seen by appointement only.
